Synopsis
Vanilla is about a relationship between a father and his daughter. Unconscious emotions such as love, attachment and sexual desire are in conflict with common norms and social education. It is a film based on desire and guilt, through which the main character undertakes a path of redemption.
Denise is a teenager taken away from her father with whom she has a consenting sexual relationship. She is now in a community centre, among people who want to give her the help and care she is not in need of. She is closing herself off, conscious of the fact that nobody can understand her.
